Wireless sensor networks for environmental monitoring


Data collection in environmental applications demand durable solutions that require minimal setup effort and can be adapted to changing requirements. Using HARTING’s MICA as its gateway, the BASe-Net sensor network platform developed at IMMS provides a versatile solution for both temporary field measurements and long-term monitoring of environmental parameters.

Objective

• Detection of typical environmental parameters such as air temperature, humidity, ambient brightness, as well as soil parameters such as soil temperature and soil moisture
• Automatic transmission and storage of the measured data
